This is a forty pound box of Houts Cattle Companies beef. Each box has...
20 pounds of ground beef (In one or two-pound packages).
10 pounds of steaks.
10 pounds of roast, stew meat, and soup bones (only 4-5 pounds of the 10 is stew meat and soup bones).
Half of Beef
$1,450
This is about 350 pounds of beef. This is all cuts. We just take a processed steer and split the amount of beef in half.
Whole of Beef
$2,900
This is about 700 pounds of beef. This is all cuts. This is a whole processed steer.
This includes the brisket.

Who we are!
The Story
Hello and welcome to the Houts Cattle Company. We are a family partnership ranching operation, owned and operated by two brothers, Henry and Foster Houts. With the help of our father, Ford Houts, we were able to start this amazing and rewarding way of life. We are both first generation cattle ranchers and we started back in the Spring of 2015 with a purchase of five cow-calf pairs that we ran at our home in Kiowa, CO, and various other pastures that we leased in the Elbert county area. We grew our herd
and in January 2018, with the help of our father, we purchased the Nebraska Sand Hill Ranch located in Alliance, NE which allowed us to take on 250 mom cows. We are two college students, who work very hard to raise the best beef cattle we can with the help of our family and friends.

Our Cattle
Eighty-five percent of our herd is classic black Angus cattle, and we also have some Red Angus cattle which are our favorites! We run black Angus bulls at breeding time, and our bulls are bred to produce great mother cows and a high level of premium beef. Our cattle are cared for in the best way possible, keeping stress at a minimum and allowing for the natural birth and raising of cattle to take place.
